Mostly the First does a pretty good job mimicking the people it pretends to be (though I've seen interesting commentary on how it gets Dru wrong). Not so Jonathan. First!Jonathan sounds nothing like our real-world Jonathan, but rather a slimier version of Superstar!Jonathan. Maybe our Jonathan was too dithery and self-effacing to convince anyone of anything? Or maybe the First just couldn't deal with pretending to be that humble.

Also, you know that one flashback to Mexico where we see Andrew and Jonathan sharing a bed? I've always wondering about fannish consensus for that scene. Hence, a poll!

I don't think there was Jonathan/Andrew, but I could be wrong. Andrew was still fixated on Warren, and I don't think Jonathan was gay. But two guys hiding out in Mexico in the cheapest place they could find... Plus it made a great visual.

When Andrew is part of the equation, it's hard to know what part of the story is real, what part is exaggeration, and what part is pure fantasy. He's an unreliable narrator, as is the First. So, I'm not sure.

Do you really think Andrew has ever had sex? Ever?

Heh. I have slash radar like whoa and it never once pinged for those two. In fact, the thought never even occurred to me before just now!

My personal!canon is that Andrew is asexual. Which, if you think about it, makes a lot of sense.

Also, Andrew is the most unreliable narrator ever, I think we should assume that scene was retold for maximum ~drama~. :)
